Love is in the air.....

Snow is apparently on the way again and

Love is in the air with Valentines Day around the corner!

I received an early goody from my Valentine yesterday - I had been telling him how bad I wanted an iphone to which he replied "YOU do not need an iphone - you would never take care of our kids, be able to drive or carry out every day tasks because you'd be on your iphone!" Plus, we are Verizon customers and didn't want to switch for iphone service!

Needless to say, he came home from work, told me to close my eyes and dropped this lightweight beauty in my hands......

I am in love with it even though it takes me 5 minutes to figure out how to make a phonecall! AND....I did almost have an accident while playing with the darn thing but stopped (screeched actually) short before plowing into the back of a jeep! Little man said "mommy, you are a BAD driver!" So on that note...I've taken the pledge to not text, play, email, facebook, browse or place a call out while driving! Rest assured, I can answer if you call me while driving since I only have to push one button!

Numero Uno had a play date this afternoon with a GIRL! Her sweet mother emailed me and said her precious blond haired, blue eyed little girl talks about him all the time so she figured it was high time to get them together! This little girl supposedly had a "boyfriend" in the class (it's pre-k people!) but her "boyfriend's" birthday was today and my Numero Uno was having a playdate at her house! I'm just sayin......
Little Man has found himself a little Valentine and even picked a Velvet rose out for her at the dollar section at Target! His idea and everything! He did want to get mommy and daddy one too but when we got up to the register I whispered very quietly to the lady "we don't need those two...thanks!" He is really excited about giving her the velvet rose and scooby doo valentine! How fun is preschool?

And this little beauty is my valentine! She's not ever getting married, well let me back up, she's not going to preschool, homecomings or proms! She is going to live here with us forever! No, I am honestly excited for the day when she finds her true love and realizes how great it is to share your life with someone but for now, I'm just going to eat her up! Oh and I took this shot of her the day we turned her carseat around - she is LOVING it! She waved the entire time to every car that passed! We couldn't stop laughing at her!

Sorry my post has been long overdue! Here's to hoping I get another one up before Valentines Day but if not, enjoy your day with or without a Valentine! Don't let society tell you what you should EXPECT on this day! "Want what you have" Cherish your single days, Be excited about what your future holds, stay in and snuggle with that special someone or go out and party it up if that's your thing...just enjoy it! Happy Valentines Day!

Snow Day!

Snow came last night and iced over this morning with a temperature of 18 degrees! I don't care where you are from - that's cold, right? It was crazy! Cars were sliding down our street completely out of control. The mailman about took our mailbox out and then just pulled over and called a tow truck! That was major excitement for the kids!

Getting the boys all bundled up was such a process and the little one reminded me so much of the youngest brother in The Christmas Story with all of his layers on!

I really couldn't even believe they wanted to go out in it and they weren't able to stay out there for long - it was SO COLD! But I did get some cute pics of our fun snow day!

Note: Since I just threw on a jacket over my pj's and slid my feet in shoes without socks,
I about froze my buns off trying to get these pictures

Can you believe his snuffalufugus eyelashes?

They really do love each other -

or so that's what I tell myself while they argue most of the time!

Check out my little daredevil!

Happy New Year!

I think I've officially found the most fattening recipe on the planet:

Gooey Cake
1 yellow cake mix
1 stick melted butter
1 egg

*mix those three together to make the crust

1 box confectioners sugar
1 8 oz. box of cream cheese
2 eggs

Mix crust and press into a 9x13 pan. Mix other ingredients and pour over crust. Bake for 35-45 minutes at 350.
It may not look like much but it is DELISH! You definitely want to stay away from this if you are losing weight in the New Year but a great dessert to take to a party!!!!
