Ironman - WHAT?
My sweet husband wants to complete an Ironman - I'm so impressed by his drive but we watched the Ironman in Hawaii on TV today and I swear these people are CRAZY! They get off their bikes, hardly walking, and then they are expected to run a marathon (26.2 miles)...They seriously can not walk!!! Much less run a freaking marathon!
Some miss the time limit to finish the bike by 3 or 4 seconds and are disqualified - unbelievable - some are kicked in the face during the swim, pushed underneath water, throwing up while biking unable to hold fluids down - not a good sign by the way!
I just can't understand why someone would want to do this?

Happy Valentines Day!
Happy Valentines Day to all even though it's not a holiday that I "believe" in! Why should my husband need a day to bring me flowers or show his love? Shouldn't he do that all year at random times?
I have a new favorite magazine that I read cover to cover every month - it is SKIRT magazine. You can check out their link under the links I love! They are a free publication and have things going on around Atlanta and you can usually pick them up at Kroger, different restaurants and places around town. I highly recommend it!!!
Anyway, this month is the "That's Amore" issue for February and they have these pages called The Cost of Love which says:
The Cost of Love:
* A dozen red roses from ftd.com $59.99
* Elsa Peretti Open Heart Pendant from Tiffany $150.00
*Three Hundred Forty Thousand Five Hundred Dollars and Fifty Two cents
Estimated cost of raising a baby born in 2008
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
* Staying faithful when you want to stray - PRICELESS
LOVE IT! Definitely check out Skirt Magazine!
Here's is a picture of my kiddos opening their valentine package from Aunt "Mine".

Major Milestone
So we reached a major milestone (in my mind!) tonight! Let me just say that my children have never spent the night out from home without me...now, we've been away from them and had grandparents keep them but always at our house. So when my mom asked my oldest if he wanted to come spend the night tonight, I was a little nervous! She's mentioned it alot to him and for him to pick a night! Well, tonight was the night! After dinner, they came back by the house and I packed his little bag complete with pj's, clothes for tomorrow and of course his pillow, two blankies, three stuffed animals and two matchbox cars to sleep with. I told him if he needed mommy or got homesick to just call and I'd be there in a jiffy to pick him up!
Needless to say, when the phone rang at 10:20 I answered it like this "oh boy..." but only to hear my mom say "you have a big kid - you don't have a baby anymore". Yes, I was holding back the tears because I KNOW! Right when he left Robby said "I'm going to be devastated when they go off to college" to which I replied "We need to have another baby! They just keep growing up and they're going to leave us!!!!"
But the phone call was only to say what a big boy he was and how he went straight to bed with no problems. My mom asked him if he says prayers and he said them all by himself "Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep, The angels watch me through the night and keep me safe until morning light Amen" - She had never heard him say his own prayers before! He even told her "nana, you've known me since I was at the hospital" which made me laugh so hard! He is thinking to himself that nana, she's really known him a long time!!! His entire life!
So it's with great joy (and a little sadness) to report that my child's first sleepover EVER went fabulous - even though he was with his grandparents! It still counts!
