$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I don't know what it is about me

or who I inherited this trait from...

but I'm always looking for ways

to make some extra cash money!

And it's not that we need

more money to pay the bills-

it's just nice to have a little extra

"play" money, if you will!

These new businesses

don't have a name

and who knows if they'll

be able to make money....

Business plan #1:

Tour the local goodwills &

buy items to resell on Ebay

2 small examples of Business Plan #1:

Kelly's Kids Dress monogrammed "Caroline"

Paid: $2.00

Sold: $8.00

Profit: $6.00

Example #2:

Baileys Boys Seersucker Bathing Suit

Paid: $.99

Sold: $4.99

Profit: $4.00

Some people aren't interested in this business plan

because they don't have the time

but I just get 1 or 2 items a week

list them, sell them and mail them!

Business Plan #2:

Get Creative with the Cricut

Example #1:

Housewarming gift

Example #2:
5 year old Birthday Gift

Bucket $1.25 from Target

All items inside $.50 (1/2 off in the $1 spot at Target)

Total $3.75 for a birthday gift!
I've also done Wedding shower gifts, baby gifts, etc...
Do you think I should sell my cricut creations?

Spring Fever!

Remember that feeling when the time changed?
daylight hours were longer, you stayed outside later
and school couldn't be out for summer fast enough!!!

My kids haven't necessarily SAID that they have Spring Fever
but it's getting harder to wake them up in the morning,
and harder to get them inside at night!!!

And we've been doing some fun things!
The kind of things that just get me excited for summer
and spending quality time with my precious kiddos!

We are big on Easter around this house,

not the Easter Bunny but the true meaning

and definitely THE annual Easter Egg hunt

which is a tradition I started

when numero uno was only 7 months old.

It's a time to get family together

and I get to spend much needed time

with my first cousins and their kids.

It's truly become a cherished tradition.

We also visited our favorite Aunt Mine

who spoils us all rotten!

We finally had to kick her out of the kitchen

one night so we could cook for them!

We went out on the lake

although it was a little chilly!

The kids didn't care.....

especially THIS one below!!!!!!

We enjoyed a picnic at the park

Can it get any better than a beautiful day at the park?

Obviously baby girl doesn't think so!!!

(is she seriously smiling that big?)

The boys ate lots of oreos

No, this isn't a scum stash!

And I can't lie...I actually had three!

BUT I have lost 13 pounds since January!
So here's to Summer, picnics, boat rides,
beach trips, Vacation Bible school & lemonade stands!
Happy Spring!!!

8 years later....

Do you ever REALLY know

what you're getting into

when you get married?

I really don't think so.

You know you are attracted to the person

and you hope for the best
but you don't know how well they will be

as a husband and definitely as a father, right?

I definitely married "up" as they say.

I definitely had no idea of how caring

this man really was.

I had no idea of the kind of husband

he'd turn out to be

and I definitely could not have imagined

how wonderful he is with our kids.

He could play a prince in a real life Disney movie!

Eight years together brings with it alot of "moments" -

good moments and bad moments.

Alot of sweat, alot of tears, alot of "really get to know you" moments

when it's just you and him.

He knows me better than I know myself.

Brad Paisley says it best:

"he's that voice I want to hear, someday when I'm ninety -

he's that wooden rocking chair, I want rocking right beside me....

everyday that passes - I only love him more....

yeah, he's the one I'd lay down my own life for."

And he's everything I ever wanted

everything I need.

I talk about him, I go on and on and on

Cause he's everything to me."
